How to use Combine Lists

Build a small phrase set first so you can check the combinations before expanding the source lists.

List Combination Generator

  1. Paste one item per line into Insert first list and Insert second list. Fill Insert third list (optional) only when you need a third part.
  2. Leave Transform to lowercase selected to lowercase the second and third list items while keeping the first list unchanged. Select Shuffle list to randomize the output order.
  3. Click Combine to process the current input.
  4. Read Result and Number of combinations. Each output row joins one item from every supplied list with a space.
  5. Click Copy under the output you want to keep. Use Clear where shown to clear the text fields; option selections stay as set.

With first-list rows Red and Blue, and the second list CAR, the default result has two rows: Red car and Blue car.

Combinations versus paired rows

Every first-list item is combined with every second-list item. Two rows in each of two lists produce four combinations; adding a third list multiplies the total again. This differs from merging only corresponding row positions.

Plan phrase sets before expanding them

Use small lists of colors, products, or locations to review candidate phrases. Repeated source items can produce repeated combinations, so clean the source lists first when you need distinct output.

Frequently asked questions

No. It creates all combinations across the supplied lists. Use a column-merging workflow when only the first row should pair with the first row.
