How to use Transform Text to Uppercase

Choose the capitalization rule that matches the text you want to produce.

Uppercase and Capitalization

  1. Paste the source text into Insert list. Keep separate rows if you want to capitalize each row independently.
  2. Under Mode, choose ALL SYMBOLS, First letter of each row, First Letter Of Each Word, or RaNdoM syMBoLS.
  3. Click Transform to process the current input.
  4. Read Result and Number of rows. Check the selected capitalization rule before copying the text.
  5. Click Copy under the output you want to keep. Use Clear where shown to clear the text fields; option selections stay as set.

For hello WORLD, ALL SYMBOLS returns HELLO WORLD. First Letter Of Each Word returns Hello WORLD, because it does not lowercase the remaining letters.

Capitalization is different from editorial title case

First Letter Of Each Word uppercases letters at whitespace-separated word starts while preserving the other characters. It does not lowercase the rest or apply rules for short words in titles.

Row starts and random case

First letter of each row acts on an initial letter after optional whitespace. RaNdoM syMBoLS independently uppercases or lowercases letters, so its exact output can change between runs.

Capitalize words, rows, or random letters

Choose First letter of each row for initial row letters or First Letter Of Each Word for whitespace-separated word starts. Choose RaNdoM syMBoLS for variable mixed case, then click Transform and inspect Result.
